Opinel No.8
Opinel knives are a legend among folk who work and live in the outdoors and as such should need little introduction. These simple yet functional cutting tools have been the woodsman’s friend for hundreds of years and this truth still remains today.
Of the entire range of tools available the No8 is not only the most popular but for the bushcrafter the most practical. The 8.5 cm blade can be locked open or closed for safety and comes with the option of either carbon or stainless steel (if you’re using the tool for general duties the carbon is a good choice, although I once saw a ghillie prep an entire deer with one! – if for food or game prep then choose the stainless) the handle is constructed from one piece of solid Beech a hard resilient wood. Choose stainless steel or Carbon Steel
Stainless Steel £9.50
Carbon Steel £9.50
Green River Knife
Back in the days of the fur trade, The “Green River knife works” manufactured cutting tool which the trappers and traders of that era knew to be the best tools possible – giving rise to the old saying “Up to the Green River” meaning to bury the blade to the hilt or the makers stamp in the game being butchered.
And it is here that the green river knife excels a traditional no nonsense frontier style knife with a blade profiled for work as both a game prep and fishing knife being swaged pointed and having jimping on one edge. Coming complete with rose wood scales that are carved with finger grips on one side and held firmly in place by three solid brass rivets this is a tool ideal for any outdoors or field sportsman.
Blade: 125mm – 24mm wide – 100mm handle.
Knife comes with leather sheath and sharpening steel. £31
BOATING KNIFE

The new simple way to carry all the items you need to make a sturdy tripod anywhere. Why struggle to carry a full sized metal tripod deep into the bush when you can slip one of our tripod rings into a pack or pocket?? Then simply insert three poles (wooden or hiking) into the three outer ring sections and splay to create the tripod before using a chain, withy or wire (whatever you prefer) to hang your pot from the centre section. Grills and large pots can also be hung using three chains attached to the outer ring if preferred. (Suspension system not supplied with ring)
Constructed from 3mm steel which is powder coated for protection – the ring measures 13.5 cm in diameter.
